About

Arrow Root Media is a company run by me, Jaki Levy. I specialize in online marketing, video, and web production.

I’ve helped organizations do lots of things.

How do I do this?

Easy.

I listen. Really carefully.

Who is Arrow Root Media?

Jaki Levy

Jaki Levy, founder

Jaki Levy founded Arrow Root Media, a New Media Production company. Before he started working as a web producer, Jaki produced video for live theater, installations, the web, and broadcast. In 2006, he helped Darian Dauchan develop his one-man performance featuring over 10 pre-produced video segments, as well as live video. In 2008, he  developed the supertitles for Martha Graham’s Clytemnestra.

Jaki has worked with multiple non-profits, including: Issue Project Room, The Field, Dance/USA, Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, Queens Council on the Arts, and Soundstreams

His initiatives and work with Misnomer Dance Theater helped the company secure over $1.25 million in grants from the Doris Duke Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation to help develop new initiatives for performance online. He was also the recipient of Cisco’s $25,000 Digital Incubator grant.

Why Arrow Root Media?

Arrow Root is a thickening agent used for cooking. Generally, Arrow Root keeps things together. The words “Arrow” and “Root” were also an inspiration for a direction and vision. Arrow Root Media aims for a large vision while also rooting these ideas. While Arrows have a dynamic direction, Roots keep things grounded, and firmly placed in reality.
