Greater Jamaica Development Corporation

Greater Jamaica Development Corporation is a fantastic organization. They are one of New York’s oldest not-for-profit local development corporations. Since its founding in 1967 by the Regional Plan Association and local business, civic and community leaders, GJDC has stressed economic development as it pursues its community-building mission. However, their site was disorganized, and had not been updated in over 1 year.

We worked very closely with their in-house designer to build out a completely new custom WordPress site. We also worked with their team to help migrate over all of their content.

Solaire Generation

Solaire Generation is a market leader in green energy, helping transform parking lots into energy plants. For this project, we built out a custom portfolio page and products page, highlighting their work. We also created a custom video player. We also provide support for their servers.

City Winery

We provide ongoing support and custom development for City Winery, a concert venue and restaurant based in New York City. The site features a full e-commerce ticketing system. We also developed customized ticketing reports and integrated with their in-house Point of Sale system.

Overall, our efforts have helped increase traffic from search engines by over 300%.

All development is done with Ruby on Rails

Allison Fine

We ported Allison Fine’s site over from wordpress.com to her own domain, with a completely revamped look. During the process, we created an archive of her podcasts, setup a media gallery, and worked to highlight her multiple books.

Ben Rubin / EAR Studio

Ben suffered a similar predicament as many other clients – an old, outdated, and un-updateable site. We worked closely with Ben to make sure his fantastic body of work could be highlighted and featured in multiple ways. For this project, we decided to use the Thesis Theme + WordPress.

For the homepage, we opted to use the Featured Content Gallery plugin. Since we’ve completed the site, Ben has become a WordPress pro!

Kristofer Dan-Bergman

Kristofer came to us with fantastic content (he is an all-star photographer) - but this content hadn’t been uploaded to his old website in years. We setup a new WordPress site for him, and helped him organize his photos. We also trained him and provide ongoing support if he’s got questions. Since we launched, he’s gotten way more traffic than he’s ever seen – and he’s updating his site all on his own.

Elastic City

Elastic City intends to make its audience active participants in an ongoing poetic exchange with the places we live in and visit.

Artists are commissioned by Elastic City to create their own walks. These walks tend to focus less on providing factual information and more on heightening our awareness, exploring our senses and making new group rituals in dialogue with public space in the city.

Elastic City is produced and directed by Todd Shalom. He realized the idea for Elastic City while suffering from altitude sickness in Cusco, Peru.

The site features a fully customized ecommerce setup, with customized emails, and full fledged blog.
